1. Check the tire pressure weekly

Consult your vehicle's manual to know the correct calibration for your vehicle. Improperly inflated tires suffer greater wear and excessive heat. Calibration should always be done with cold tires, never after warming them up, such as on the road.

2. Pay attention to alignment and balancing

Problems in alignment and balancing reduce the tire's useful life, since the vehicle's weight stays on some parts of the wheels and not as a whole. Check if your steering wheel is pulling to one side. If so, it is time to align the tires.

3. Never leave the vehicle's balancing unchecked

If the steering wheel of your car starts to vibrate at speeds above 50 km/h (30 mph), it is a sign that you need to do the balancing. Failing to correct this problem decreases the service life of your tires by up to 20%.

Avoid homemade recipes to make your tire look better. Never use petroleum based products: they damage the rubber of the tires a lot. Look for specific products for this activity.
